Where are you located?

PPL is located in the Northwest Texas Professional Building at 3501 Soncy, Suite 124 in Amarillo, Texas.

What time are you open?

PPL offers extended hours for the convenience of our patients. PPL is open 7am-6pm Monday through Friday and 9am-12pm on Saturdays. PPL is closed on Sunday.

Do I need an appointment?

No, you do not need an appointment. Due to our excellent customer service standards, our wait times are generally 5 minutes or less.

What do I need to bring with me?

PPL requests that all of our patients bring their Drivers License and current Insurance Card. If you do not have insurance, please bring cash, check, debit, or credit card. PPL also requires a copy of the Physician’s Lab Orders before we collect any specimen from our patients. If you do not have your lab orders, please ensure that your Doctor has sent them to PPL before coming in.

Do I need written orders from my doctor?

Do I need to do anything to prepare for my tests?

Sometimes specific actions will need to be taken to improve the accuracy of results. This may involve fasting (not eating anything or not eating certain foods) for several hours or even overnight, drinking more or less water than usual, or avoiding certain medications or vitamin and herbal supplements before the test. Your Physician will let you know what you need to do in order to prepare for your testing. If you are not certain you have taken the proper actions necessary before the collection process, please contact your Physician and let the staff at PPL know in advance.

Who will give me my results?

The Physician that orders the lab work, or a staff member at that office, will contact you regarding your test results. Please do not contact PPL regarding your lab results. Patients must get their lab results from their ordering Physician to have the results properly evaluated.

How soon will I get my results?

Based on the complexity of a test, it could take anywhere from just a few hours up to several days before the results are available. When visiting with your physician, ask your physician how long this process can take and how soon you should contact the office if you have not gotten your results.

Will you file my insurance?

Yes, PPL will file any valid insurance for you; however, you may want to call your insurance company to verify that PPL is in-network with your plan.

Is payment due at the time of service?

PPL will file with your insurance company before requesting payment. If you do not have insurance, please expect to pay for testing at our discounted self-pay price at the time of service.

Do you accept payment over the phone?

Yes, PPL does except Visa, MasterCard, Debit or Credit over the phone for payments over $10.

Why did I receive a bill from PPL?

PPL processes lab work for Physicians across the Panhandle. If you do not remember coming to our facility, it is likely that you had specimen collected at your Physicians office and it was forwarded to PPL for testing.
